Introduction
Welcome to the Process Loop Component Lab for the current and pneumatic converters developed at CoEP. The main purpose of this laboratory is to make the students aware of the current and pneumatic converter used in the industry. These components are the backbone of the industry. The working and configuration of these converters require high-level skills and due to the cost of these instruments, no college can afford to have these for experimentation. Moreover, the calibration and maintenance required to continuously keep these instruments up and running are also tedious. This is an attempt to virtualize these instruments for thorough understanding.
1. Configure the current and pneumatic converter understudy
2. Analyse the effects of configurable parameters on the performance of the converter under test
3. Select the appropriate component as regards span, linearity, accuracy, and damping for the application.
4. Identify the faults in the converter and rectify the same.
