Computer Networks Lab

Broad Areas of Virtual Labs
Computer Science & Engineering
IIIT HYDERABAD
Introduction

The Computer Networks Lab is designed to simplify complex networking concepts through interactive simulations. From CSMA/CD to DNS, this lab enables students to visualize, analyze, and optimize network protocols and data flow with hands-on precision. Students will explore protocol design, understand data flow, and analyze network performance.

Objective

  • Understanding Network Protocols: Simulate CSMA/CD, Distance Vector Routing, TCP, and DNS to grasp core networking principles.
  • Analyzing Data Flow & Performance: Examine packet transmission, congestion control, and network behavior to optimize efficiency.
  • Bridging Theory & Practice: Apply hands-on simulations to design, test, and fine-tune network protocols for real-world applications.

Target Audience
