Introduction

The Error Correcting Codes Lab equips students with essential knowledge of how digital communication systems detect and correct errors caused by noisy channels. Through interactive experiments, students explore foundational techniques that ensure reliable data transmission.

Objective

  • Exploring Core Concepts: Understand generator and parity check matrices, and error detection and correction in linear block codes.
  • Mastering Algorithms: Learn encoding and decoding techniques for Hamming, Convolutional, Cyclic, Reed-Solomon, and BCH codes.
  • Building Mathematical Foundations: Engage with finite fields and binary arithmetic for deeper coding insights.
