The Virtual Reality Lab (DESIGN-P2) is designed to provide undergraduate students with an immersive and interactive learning environment through Virtual Reality (VR)-based simulations. The lab integrates theoretical concepts with practical experiences, enabling learners to visualize, explore, and interact with complex systems and environments that may otherwise be difficult, expensive, or unsafe to access in a traditional laboratory setting.
The lab consists of eight experiments covering diverse application domains of Virtual Reality, including fundamental VR concepts and applications, architectural visualization, CRO operation, qualitative chemistry analysis, engine assembly and disassembly, vehicle simulation, electronic circuit building, and multiplayer virtual classroom environments. These experiments collectively demonstrate the versatility of VR technology in engineering, science, and educational applications.
To introduce students to the fundamental concepts, components, and applications of Virtual Reality.
To provide hands-on experiential learning through immersive simulations.
To enhance conceptual understanding by enabling visualization and interaction with virtual environments.
To develop problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills through interactive virtual experiments.
To promote self-paced learning and improve learner engagement using modern educational technologies.
UG
The lab is primarily intended for Undergraduate (UG) students pursuing programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, and other related disciplines.
