Welcome to the Engineering Graphics Lab, a virtual platform dedicated to understanding the fundamental principles of Engineering Drawing. Engineering Drawing is often described as the universal language of engineers, serving as the bridge between abstract ideas and their tangible, practical realizations in design and manufacturing.This lab has been designed as a learning space where students can explore essential concepts ranging from lettering, geometrical constructions, conic sections, special curves, scales, to the projection of points, lines, planes, and solids. By engaging with these experiments, learners will not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also gain hands-on practice that cultivates essential design and visualization skills.
The objectives of the Engineering Graphics Lab are:
- To familiarize students with the fundamental principles of engineering drawing.
- To enable students to construct and investigate special curves and apply scales in graphical representations.
- To strengthen comprehension through hands-on activities instead of rote memorization.
- To develop problem-solving skills via geometrical constructions.
- To appreciate the principles and applications of projections, covering points, lines, planes, and solids.
