Introduction
The branch of biomedicine concerned with the structure and function of the immune system, innate and acquired immunity, the bodily distinction of self from no self, and laboratory techniques involving the interaction of antigens with specific antibodies. The laboratory course can be further utilized as a self-learning or reference material for life science students.

To understand the various techniques applied to process a blood sample and obtain Serum.

Introducing Latex agglutination tests, that have been applied in clinical laboratories for the detection of infectious diseases.

To introduce the principle of ELISA and its application in diagnostics and the different types of ELISAs possible
