Process Loop Component and Control Valve for Various Applications Lab

Broad Areas of Virtual Labs
Electrical Engineering
COEP Technological University Pune
Introduction
Welcome to the Process Loop Component and Control Valve for Various Applications developed at CoEP. The main purpose of this laboratory is to make the students aware of the various process loop components and control valve applications used in the industry. These components are the backbone of the industry. The working and configuration of these components require high-level skills and due to the cost of these instruments, no college can afford to have these for experimentation. Moreover, the calibration and maintenance required to continuously keep these instruments up and running are also tedious. This is an attempt to virtualize these instruments for thorough understanding.

Objective

1. Configure the process loop component and control valve understudy
2. Analyse the effects of configurable parameters on the performance of the component and valve under test
3. Select the appropriate component as regards span, linearity, accuracy, and damping for the application.
4. Identify the faults in the component and rectify the same.
